Since 2006, the University of Arizona Library has provided the free academic site license of ChemOffice Professional (ChemDraw/Chem3D) for students and faculty. Note: Uninstall previous versions of ChemOffice before installing ChemDraw or Chem3D 19 to avoid license activation issues.
ChemOffice is a biology and chemistry software suite available for Microsoft Windows. The macOS equivalent is ChemDraw.
ChemOffice Professional includes:
- Basically, it creates compelling illustrations of cells. ChemDraw Pro 12.0 is available as a free download on our software library. The software lies within Education Tools, more precisely Science Tools. The most recent setup file that can be downloaded is 75.4 MB in size.

Accessing ChemOffice and ChemDraw
ChemOffice and ChemDraw are available free-of-charge on UQ-owned computers.
On Windows computers you can self-install ChemOffice using the Microsoft Software Centre. For macOS computers, ask your local IT support team or submit an IT request to have ChemDraw installed.

- Staff: you can download and use ChemOffice and ChemDraw on your personal computer for UQ work purposes.
- Students: you can download and use ChemOffice and ChemDraw on your personal computer for study purposes.
Conditions of use
ChemOffice and ChemDraw can be used at UQ for academic and non-commercial research purposes only.
The ChemOffice Professional site subscription licence is renewed and paid for through central funding annually on 11 December.
