Roland released a line of 12 expansion boards over the course of a few years starting in 2000. Many of their synthesizers have expansion slots and they are an easy way to increase a synthesizer's capabilities with a specific type of sound set.

The Roland SRX expansion boards are compatible with the XV and Fantom series of synthesizers.
The G-70, MC-909, Juno-G, and V-Studio 700 each support 1 expansion board.
The Fantom FA-76, XV-88, XV-3080, RD-700, Juno Stage 2, VR-760, XV-2020, XV-5050 and Sonic Cell each support 2 expansion boards.
The XV-5080, Fantom-S, and Fantom-X each have 4 SRX expansion board slots.

The Fantom XR has 6 SRX expansion slots.
The Integra-7 comes with all twelve expansion boards preloaded in its operating system, but it can't use them all at once, so they have to be installed in 'virtual expansion slots'.

Roland Srx 07 Patch List File
Hi folks,For those that have the SRX-07 and/or SRX-09 cards, I have converted all the original SR-JV80 patches that came on the CD (these are the patches from the original SR-JV80 cards that the SRX-06 to -09 cards are made up from). You will need to have your SRX-09 in slot A and SRX-07 in slot B.
To get the files (I created rar files containing midi, librarian and user restore files), go to the Sonic Cell Yahoo user group

and grab them from the files section. Many many hours went into manually converting each patch (including matching/substituting waveforms, and updating proper effects) and associated rhythm sections. If anyone feels up to converting other SRX cards (either the 6 or 8), please contact me and I can guide you through the steps to do it.
